Annamary Consalvo is an Associate Professor of Literacy at The University of Texas at Tyler where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses. Her research interests include the study of writing conferences in secondary contexts; disciplinary and adolescent literacy; and ways in which multi literacies inform teaching and learning.
Recent articles include: “Teaching for deep learning in a second-grade literacy classroom” in the Journal of Language and Literacy Education; “Making writing stick: Tiny paper, big understandings” in Oregon English Journal; and, “Writing on the walls: Supporting 21st century thinking in the material classroom” in Teaching and Teacher Education.
